A mountain full of red flowers Mount Tokusenjo in Kesennuma Town🏔🗻☁️☀️

Mount Tokusenjo (711m) is located on the Prefectural border between Miyagi and Iwate prefectures

On the border between the former Motoyoshi Town and Kesennuma Town.

In spring, the area around the mountain peaks is colored in bright red, red-orange, and magenta, which contrasts well with the surrounding greenery.

An estimated 500,000 azaleas grow here.

The best time to see azaleas is in May, It takes about 40 minutes to walk leisurely from the end of the trail

On the Kesennuma side to the summit (711m).

Actually, the azaleas are scattered along the path to the top, so you can still enjoy it if you can’t get to the top.

But to be in the best spot, you have to be at the top. You can see rows of windmills, stretches of beach, green expanses and pink azaleas, blue skies with drifting clouds.

Anyway. it’s really good

In Minamisanriku there is also a place to enjoy TSUTSUJI or Azalea and it is known as TATSUGANE mountain. The view is also very good as in the bottom right of the photo.
