Hayase Japanese restaurant
Hayase (はや瀬) is a Japanese restaurant located inside the Hotel Metropolitan Sendai. They received halal certification and halal management course from Malaysia Halal Cooperation (MHC) since 2017. They renewing their halal certification every year so you can be at ease. The ambiance of the restaurant is really soothing, giving the tranquility atmosphere. It is a suitable place to be enjoyed with your family and colleagues.
Halal Sukiyaki
We try the halal sukiyaki when we visit Hayase. The set includes sashimi, Yuba (湯葉; tofu skin) salad, egg wash, and a pot of sukiyaki. They will mix the sukiyaki sauce and prepare the dishes for you. The beef is halal-certified beef from Australia. The vegetables were so fresh and delicious. The chef told us the right way to enjoy our meal. After the shabu-shabu is boiled, take the meat and dip on the egg wash before you eat it. It gives the meat a whole new sensation in your mouth.
I also like the Yuba salad. Yuba is a tofu skin made from the top layer of the tofu mix. When you are steaming the soy milk to make tofu, the outer part is become thickened and has a yellowish color. Since you have only one layer of Yuba on every batch of tofu productions, it can be quite expensive. It is one of the traditional Japanese delicacies you have to try.
