Assalamualaikum,
Fasting in Japan is something that you can not forget for the rest of your life, longer fasting hours than Indonesia (My home country) in Japan , high humidity and regular daily activity are the lists that cannot be ignored, but behind that you can also experience, togetherness in the Muslim community, stronger bond, and dedication from your Muslim brothers and Sisters
Hello Japan Halal TV reader, today I would like to share you my story on fasting in Japan. This is my 6th Ramadhan in Japan. In Sendai city, Miyagi prefecture (the city where I live), every week during Ramadan, we have International Iftar Party that held by ICCS (Islamic Cultural Center of Sendai. The event was an annual event that brings together Muslim community that lives in Sendai and its surrounding area.
This week International Iftar Party held on Sunday, 13th of May 2019 in Kitayama Community Center. Our brothers and sisters from Indonesia cooked Indonesian dishes and provided the food for around 250~300 people. It was such an amazing dish, I had Opor (Chicken cooked in Coconut Milk) and many other delicious side dishes.
The event is welcome for Muslim and Non-Muslim (Fasting or Not). It was such a beautiful event, not only break the fast together, but there was also an Islamic lecture and congregation prayer.
There will be other 3 International Iftar Party you can join to, don`t forget to Join
