Kaldi is a chain store in Japan that is specialized in imported goods from outside Japan. At Kaldi, you can find most of the rare spices and other products which you cannot find in a regular Japanese supermarket.

Also, a unique thing about Kaldi is the staff welcoming you at the entrance with a free cup of coffee !!  A sign of warm welcoming the customers !!

It feels nostalgic when you enter the shop and you start seeing the familiar products from your own country!! “Yay, that’s from Arabia !!” “Yay, that’s from Egypt !!” You just feel good and you feel “I wanna take a picture and send it back home or share it on social media “. It’s like finding a part of you in the Far East here in Japan.

Examples of some products that you can find there (Ramadan products as Halal dried fruits, Halal nuts, a wide variety of coffee from around the world, food ingredients from different countries, etc…..)

 

Foreigners in Japan when talking about food ingredients say: “If you cannot find it, go to Kaldi !!“
