If we talk about WAGYU our mind will be directly associated with high-quality Japanese beef. Yes, WAGYU literally means Japanese Beef combination of the word WA (和) means Japanese/Japan and GYU (牛) means beef/cow. There is a strict requirement to get a certification of high-quality Wagyu, the grade range is from A to C and 1 to 5.
A-C is the yield range, A is the highest and C is the lowest
1-5 is the meat quality, 5 is the highest and 1 is the lowest (Grading criteria including marbling, meat color, texture, and fat quality) so the highest wagyu grade will be A5
Wagyu Yakiniku (Grill/BBQ) is a must-eat Japanese food that you need to try at least once in your lifetime. Why? Because it is a slice of heavenly foods that pretty sure there is no comparison in taste. Make sure to try the A5 grade tho.
Alhamdulillah, there are many Halal certified Wagyu beef in Japan right now (even the famous KOBE WAGYU has its Halal version) and one of it, is KYOTO WAGYU (Kyo Tankuro Wagyu, is the highest quality beef produced in Kyoto), yes… the famous Kyoto city has its own wagyu and some of them slaughter in a Halal way. The restaurant that serves halal-certified KYOTO WAGYU is Nanzan Restaurant (it received certification from Kyoto Council for Sharia and Halal Affairs.), the restaurant is serving Halal-certified Kyoto Wagyu Yakiniku (BBQ) and many other Muslim friendly menus including WAGYU SUSHI that will definitely melt in your mouth, it takes about 24 minutes from Kyoto station to the main shop. From Kyoto station take a Karasuma Line and get off at Matsugasaki Station, from this station you can walk for about 7 minutes to the store. it is advisable to reserve the table beforehand.
